February 25: Molly Holman skiing for Sugarload, won the girls 2024 U12 Giant Slalom Qualifier race at Black Mountain. 
Under sunny and windless skies, Holman recorded times of 54.38 and 52.78 for a two-run total of 1:47.16. Taking the silver was Carrabasset Valley's Willa Marcisso, who had times of 56.34 and 55.36 for a combined time of 1:51.70. The bronze medal was captured by her teammate Norah Landry with times of 56.68 and 55.38 and a combined time of 1:52.06.
Also finishing in the top 10 were Isla Dakers of CVA (1:53.71), Addison Gray of CVA (1:54.42), Keira Livesay of CVA (1:54.96), Camille Cannan (1:55.39), Hayden Plourde of Valley Racing Team (1:56.61), Madeline Buckley of Gould Academy (1:56.82), and Hazel Redman, also of Gould (1:57.04).

February 25: Gould Academy's Corra Ippolito won the gold medal in the girls U14 Giant Slalom at Black Mountain.
Ippolito had runs of 51.15 and 50.17 and a combined time of 1:41.32 to earn the victory. Silver medalist Fynn Murray, skiing for Carrabasset Valley, had times of 52.33 and a second run best of 49.60 for a two-run total of 1:41.93. Winning the bronze was Gould's Gracie Infurna with times of 51.72 and 50.75 and a combined time of1:42.47.
Other top 10 finishers were Quinn Marston of CVA (1:43.87), Hannah Martin of Gould (1:45.34), Lauryn Souza of Gould (1:45.63), Elena Owen of CVA (1:46.08), Laney Caron of Valley Racing Team (1:46.69), Minna Goethert of CVA (1:46.70), and Gould's Elouise Porter (1:47.76).

February 25: Preston Ponitz was victorious at sunny Black Mountain, 
gaining the victory in the MARA Under 12 Giant Slalom Qualifier. The Carrabasset Valley Alpine skier completed the course with times of 53.82 and 52.11 for a class best combined time of 1:45.93 to take top honors. Second place went to teammate Finn Hildebrand who had runs of 54.12 and 52.66 for a 1:46.78 combined time. Gould Academy Competition Program's Henry Sapak took third place with times of 54.43 and 54.40 and a 1:48.83 combined time.
Also in the top ten finishers were Simms Patten of CVA (1:49.80), Wyatt Collin of Valley Racing Team (1:53.17), Paul Thompson of Gould (1:54.57), Henry Brochu of CVA (1:54.76), Matthew Martino of Gould (1:56.07), Gunnar Goethart (1:56.69) of CVA and his teammate Parker Lowe (1:57.20),

February 25: Carrabasset Valley's Anders Hildegrand skied to a gold medal in the boys Maine Alpine Raching Associations Under 14 Giant Slalom Qualifier at Black Mountain. 
Hildebrand completed the course in 50.77 and 49.05 for a combined time of 1:39.82. Winning the silver was Reed Michaud of Valley Racing Team of Fort Kent. Michaud had times of 52.87 and 50.07, giving him a combined time of 1:42.94. Taking the Bronze medal was Gould Academy Competition Program's Samuel Good, who had runs of 52.00 and 51.32 for a combined time of 1:43.32.
Rounding out the top ten racers were Peyton Toomey of Pleasant Mountain Racing Team (1:44.11), Charlie Lord of CVA (1:44.23), Henry Demetriou of CVA (1:45.45), Michael Dohan of CVA (1:46.41), Cameron Manson of CVA (1:47.16), Gould's Asher Norris (1:47.42), and Huck Lowe of CVA (1:48.29).
