Pine Hill Competition Trails, Bethel, ME
Classic technique, mass start and finish at field adjacent to Gould Academy Field House on Church St., Bethel, with most of the 10 km or 22 km timed race course on the Pine Hill Competition Trails. Registration at Gould Academy Field House, Bethel, Maine, from 9-10:30am. Youth/Bill Koch League events include lollipop, a 2.25km timed race or a 10 km untimed mini-marathon. (Youth wishing to ski longer timed distances must enter the adult event and pay the adult fee). All events are at 11 A.M with the exception of the lollipop which will start at 10:45. The Moose is a New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) sanctioned event and part of the Zak Cup and Club Series. Adult participants who are not NENSA members will be asked to purchase a one day license for $5 at registration.
$30 in advance at www.skireg.com, or $20 in advance for the 22 km, if registration includes participation in the John Roderick Marathon as part of the Western Maine Nordic Weekend. $40 Day of Race. This winter the Bethel Outing Club and the Chisholm Ski Club are joining forces to promote two events as part of the 2015 Western Maine Nordic Weekend. The weekend will kick off on Saturday, February 7th at Bethel's Pine Hill Competition Trails with the Flying Moose Classic. On Sunday, February 8th, the venue shifts to Black Mountain of Maine for the John Roderick Marathon as part of the NENSA New England Marathon Series.
