Sundays at Black Mountain of Maine, 12:00-2:00, meet at the wax building, snacks and drinks to follow in Muriel’s kitchen
We begin and end each lesson with circle and stretching (Begin - whole group, End- each group independently)
What to Bring:
1.) A great and positive attitude and readiness to have FUN!
2.) Warm Clothes! No one has fun when they are cold. We have a lovely new wax building with heat and lights to warm up in if any kiddos need a break at any time. Please be sure that your child is appropriately dressed for winter weather and the infamous “Black Mountain Breeze.”
Layers are great. Several of them. Please also wear warm socks that fit comfortably (bring several pairs to try on with boots) as cross country boots aren’t all that warm, hats, and mittens or gloves that are waterproof if possible along with ski pants and warm jackets. We can help with clothing if need be, and have some donations left from last year. OR if your child forgets something (likely my own) we have things to borrow for the day.
3.) Personal Water bottles are encouraged, but we have bottled water at the mountain. Snacks and drinks provided at the end of each lesson, please feel free to make a donation!
4.) Parent or Guardian for Registration Paperwork and to be sure kiddos are okay the first couple of weeks for littles.

Tentative Schedule for 2023:
Subject to change due to weather, illness, life in general… we will let you know via email and on the facebook page if there is a cancellation. There will not be lessons on days that the trail conditions, the temperature or wind chill could be unsafe for skiing. Disclaimer: End of the year race in the rain was not pleasant, but also not unsafe. Let's hope to stay dry and have snow not rain! We have seven weeks of programming so if we miss one we should be good, plus an additional BKL race in VT to attend one week.
