Enfield, New Hampshire native Dennis Page won the 7th annual John Roderick 50k Marathon Race at Black Mountain of Maine on February 9th. The Darthmouth College graduate skied the freestyle course in 2:04:28.0 on a blustery but sunny day in Rumford to capture the gold. Finishing 2nd was Justin Fereshetian with a time of 2:06:00.3. Grabbing the final podium spot was Orono’s Gregory Harkay.
In the women’s 25k freestyle, Carrie Nourjian of Stowe, Vermont took top honors with a 1:19:17.6 time. Jackson, New Hampshire’s Laurel took second.
In the Men’s 25K freestyle, Kyle Rancourt’s time of 1:07:34.1 won him the top spot on the podium for that event. He was followed by Mike Morse (1:10:28.6) and Brett Rutledge (1:10:30.0).
Mark Lena won the Men’s 25k Classical Style in 1:50:26.4.
Julia Lazzaroni of Park City, Utah captured the championship in the women’s 15k freestyle, finishing in 40:15.7. Right behind her were Rachel Zafren of Brunswick, Maine (40:31.5) and Sarah Pribram of Shelburne, Vermont (40:44.3).
In the men’s 15K freestyle, it was Noah Gans taking the gold with a time of 32:58.2. William Watson and Ben Gustafson took the silver and bronze.
Kevin Donohoe won the men’s 10k freestyle with David Holmander coming in second.
Also a part of the day’s festivities was the University of Maine’s men’s 15k freestyle, won by Jordan Fried in 36:19.4. Thomas Wing took second and Isaiah Reid was third.

Welcome to Black Mountain of Maine and Chisholm Ski Club for the Seventh Annual John Roderick Marathon and Tour. We want you to have a good experience on the John Roderick Trail System and Broomhall Stadium in Rumford.
Race Headquarters will be open at 7:30 am to accept your reservation and answer any questions you may have. Your check-in at Race Headquarters should provide you with a bib, pizza and drink tickets, map of the trail that will be used and a general layout of the stadium.
Please be sure to return your bib after your event as there is a $50 fee for lost bibs.
Day of Race registration fees are $70 for the 25k and 50k races and $45 for the 15k and 10k races.
Waxing and ski exchange will be located in the stadium near the refreshment table. No ski exchange will be allowed in 10k and 15k Zac Races.
Wax testing will be available in the bowl to the left of the Competition Center and on the course prior to the start.
With a bib or Nordic pass you are allowed on the course until 10 minutes prior to the start at 9:00 am.
In order to expedite the start schedule, all participants should be in the start area for the 9:00 am start. All Freestyle skiers will start at 9:00 am and Classic skiers at 9:10 am. Start positions are first come first serve. Tracks will be set to the right side of the stadium for the Classic skiers following the scramble zone.
10k, 15km, 25km, and 50km Skate, Wave Start, Classic or Freestyle. The race will start at 9:00 am. Participants can select their technique on Saturday during check in and bib assignment. More details to follow.
Registration is now open on SkiReg.com. Online Registration Deadline: Friday, Feb 8, 2019 at 5:00 PM ET. Check in and day of race registration will be available at race headquarters at 7:30 am.
