Run orders for nordic skiing have been expanded to include all team skiers; only the 1st eight listed on run orders count toward team points. Run orders are due by noon on Monday, February 2nd. Race orders may be emailed to Bob Arsenault at chisholmski@gmail.com. Gate keeper names should also be submitted by that time to John Bernard at jgbernard@msad43.org.

When arriving, please have busses drop skiers off and then park diagonally in the lower lot.

Giant Slalom/Freestyle Day
Date: Thursday, Feb. 5th
Location: Black Mountain of Maine
Schedule of Events
Alpine Giant Slalom
6:45 - 7:30 Alpine Giant Slalom Registration at race headquarters; bibs, fees, running orders.
7:45 Alpine Coaches and officials meeting in main lodge 2nd floor conference room.
8:00 Lift opens for athletes
8:00 Gate Keepers meeting in main lodge conference room. (each school provides 1 gatekeeper)
8:00-8:45 Course Inspection
8:45           Course Closed
9:00 Start of Alpine Giant Slalom race - 2 runs - Men/Women - Possible reset between runs if time permits

 

Freestyle
12:00 - 1:00 Nordic Freestyle Registration at race headquarters; bibs, fees, running order.
1:00 Nordic Coaches and officials meeting at hand timing building.
2:00 Nordic 5K Freestyle Men's Start- 15 second intervals
3:00 Nordic 5K Freestyle Women's Start- 15 second intervals
Fees:

Alpine $15/ athlete                    
  Nordic $9/ athlete
  Make Checks payable to Chisholm Ski Club
Bibs: Provided by Chisholm Ski Club
  Note: No racer allowed on the race trail without the bib visible. Athletes may be disqualified.
Tickets: All athletes, coaches, race staff, volunteers and spectators must have a ticket to ride lift or ski on trails.
Running Order: 8 athlete teams (8 men and 8 women maximum per event, plus athletes that are competing for skimeister and are not part of 8 person team). Please list all skimeister separately. All other Nordic athletes may be entered to race, but will not count towards team score. Send running orders for Alpine and Nordic to Chisholm Ski Club at chisholmski@roadrunner.com (Bob Arsenault 207-357-8844) by Monday, Feb. 2nd . Please include number of non-participating athletes requiring tickets.
Volunteers: Schools must provide 1 Gate Keeper/Course Worker each for the Giant Slalom event. Skiing volunteers will be issued a Lift Pass as needed. Names of gatekeeper or course worker may be emailed to Mtn. Valley HS AD John Bernard at jgbernard@msad43.org by Monday, Feb. 2nd . Schools who do not supply a gatekeeper will be assessed a $50 fee.
Passes: Maximum of 3 coach Lift Passes will be issued per team. All non-participating athletes will be required to purchase a lift/trail ticket ($15 Alpine or $9 Nordic).
