2007 Mountain Valley Conference Championship Schedule

Day 1
Date: Thurs. Feb. 8th
Location: Black Mountain of Maine
Schedule of Events

Alpine Giant Slalom
6:45 - 7:30 Alpine Giant Slalom Registration at race headquarters; bibs, fees, running orders.
7:45 Alpine Coaches and officials meeting at bottom of chair lift.
8:00 Lift opens for athletes
8:00 Gate Keepers meeting at race headquarters (each school provides 1 gatekeeper)
8:00-8:45 Course Inspection
8:45           Course Closed
9:00 Start of Alpine Giant Slalom race - 2 runs - Men/Women

 

Freestyle

1:00 - 1:30 Nordic Freestyle Registration at race headquarters; bibs, fees, running order.
1:30 Nordic Coaches and officials meeting at hand timing building.
2:00 Nordic 5K Freestyle Men's Start- 15 second intervals
3:00 Nordic 5K Freestyle Women's Start- 15 second intervals
Fees:

Alpine $13/ athlete                    

  Nordic $8/ athlete
  Make Checks payable to Chisholm Ski Club
Bibs: Provided by Chisholm Ski Club
  Note: No racer allowed on the race trail without the bib visible.
Tickets: All athletes, coaches, race staff, volunteers and spectators must have a ticket to ride lift or ski on trails.
Running Order: 8 athlete teams (8 men and 8 women maximum per event, plus athletes that are competing for skimeister and are not part of 8 person team). Please list all skimeister separately. Send running orders for Alpine and Nordic to Chisholm Ski Club at chisholmski@roadrunner.com (Bob Arsenault 207-364-2403) by Monday, Feb. 5th . Please include number of non-participating athletes requiring tickets.
Volunteers: Schools must provide 1 Gate Keeper/Course Worker each for the Giant Slalom event. Skiing volunteers will be issued a Lift Pass as needed.
Passes: Maximum of 3 coach Lift Passes will be issued per team. All non-participating athletes will be required to purchase a lift/trail ticket ($13 Alpine or $8 Nordic).

Date: Sat. Feb. 10th
Location: Black Mountain of Maine - Rumford

Slalom
6:45 - 7:30 Alpine Slalom Registration at race headquarters; bibs, fees, running orders.
7:45 Alpine Coaches and officials meeting at bottom of chair lift.
8:00 Lift opens for athletes
8:00 Gate Keepers meeting at race headquarters (each school provides 2 gatekeepers)
8:00-8:45 Course Inspection
8:45 Course Closed
9:00 Start of Alpine Slalom race - 2 runs - Men/Women

Approximately
1 hour after the completion of the race

Alpine awards in the lodge.

 

Nordic Classical

1:00 - 1:30 Nordic Classical Registration at race headquarters; bibs, fees, running order.
1:30 Nordic Coaches and officials meeting at hand timing building.
2:00 Nordic 5K Classical Men's Start- 15 second intervals
3:00 Nordic 5K Classical Women's Start- 15 second intervals
